Literature and Christmas: How Books Have Shaped Our Festive Traditions

Literature and Christmas - child asleep with book

    Literature and Christmas.

Have you ever thought about the connection?

For many of us Christmas is a busy time.

Buying presents, going to church, entertaining and… reading.

For me, the festive season is a time to catch up on all the books I meant to, but never did, get round to reading.

Until I saw this informative infographic, however, I never thought how literature has shaped our perceptions of Christmas itself.

And maybe even our festive traditions.
