  1. Great tips.

I love 12th tip. That’s the cause why we see lot of freebies around. Because they always work.

I am preparing an e-book and I must admit that the tips from WTD have helped me a lot!

  2. Hi Mr. I!
Great that you’re preparing an Ebook. Have you read my article on Problogger? The Comprehensive Paint-by-Numbers Guide to Writing and Publishing Your Ebook

  3. Mary, that post is great. I had to bookmark it for future reference.

I think setting a time limit is best tip for me as I am having a lot of trouble in managing my studies, posting and e-book.

    I will check out e-junkie.

You might want to notify Darren that the link to E-Junkie in 12th tip is broken, .com is missing from there.

  4. Excellent post and really worth bookmarking (which I did). It’s not as easy to remember as the ol’ A.I.D.A. guideline (Attention, Interest, Details, Action) but so practical!

The only thing about #12 is that using the word “free” increases the chance your email will be filtered out as spam. But it’s still a powerful word for all the other places we use sales copy.

    Thanks for the post!

  5. Hi There!
Great article. Another copywritng tip I learned was that the three most powerful words in advertising are:

    you

    new, and

    free

    Cheers

Great reminder of what really works. I made it into a checklist and am keeping it in plain sight. I added a tip #13 to the checklist: Use testimonials.

  8. Really useful tips!

It is relatively easy to write copy with the aim of selling your products, however writing copy that will sell your products and services is quite different.

It does need to be interesting, consumers need to know why they should buy your products and not another company’s and you do need to outline the main benefits.

It is all well and good saying what your product is and its’ features but people need to know why it will benefit them.
